Ben Franklin said:

“Write things worth reading, or do things worth writing”

We believe in this and have done just that in our personal lives and professional careers. The philosophy behind that statement serves, with a slight twist to it, as a thought to present to retired Flag & General Officers of the U. S. Armed Forces (for their consideration):

"You’ve done things worth writing, which are worth reading"

That is the core reason we’ve established the signature service that we tell you about in this website.  Our focus is to help specifically with writing & publishing assistance and services.

Our Premise

By the very nature of their accomplishments while serving our country, these retired officers have a great amount of experience and knowledge that should be leveraged, tapped, promoted and disseminated both for their continued benefit to the United States of America and the public but, also, commercially for businesses.

We feel that military professionals, especially senior officers … unless they go into politics or pursue a high-media-profile post-military career … are an under-served and under-heard voice and resource.

Over their career they accrue their “collection of letters, correspondence and experience etc.” and many think about publishing their memoirs or turning their energies to writing about, not only their life and military career, but also their experience and knowledge. Doing that is important to them, to shed some light on a particular event or events; or to espouse their own philosophy on personal achievement, leadership, defense or foreign policy matters. These men and women have accomplished a great deal in life. They have stories to tell and valuable knowledge and experience to impart.

Some may have trouble in getting that done though – getting what’s in their head and heart and putting it to paper … or, if they get it to paper have trouble getting it to a final product (book, article etc.). Hence, the “missing voice” or “under-utilized resource” results.

We think a big part of the reason for that is this:

To attain things in life demands having the will and achieving the performance to get there.  To become a flag officer is an extraordinary accomplishment

But most flag officers would have to acknowledge that many of their successes (and there are many that stair-stepped them to flag rank) were helped along by having a good staff to support them.  We suspect that once they are out of the military, they may miss having that support that helps them get all the things on their “action list” done.  These are busy men and women, focusing on multiple plans and pursuits.  But writing and producing a work as a tangible product for distribution and dissemination is often like a birthing process.  One not having a capable staff has a tendency to put his/her work on hold for any numbers of reasons that delay the actual birth.  Thus the plan to write or publish languishes or the project never “quite gets there”.  It’s almost like for “want of a nail” --- we know how that one goes, only its for “want of the right push and help to get it done” a book is not published or a voice not heard.

Our Mission

To provide “Staff” support service for these professionals to help them bring their writing to life (and to light) and if it is one of their goals, to help them build a forum for their voice” as an author, speaker, professional or consultant on any manner of topics and subjects.

Media, newspapers and magazines (both print and online) are excellent venues for professionals who write—but—and there is nothing wrong with this—their writing and efforts go largely to building the venues’ brand. No problem there, but if it is good for them (the venue) … isn’t it good for the professional/author (to do the same)? We know from experience with our own writing that creating your own brand and venue is rewarding both personally and commercially.

Professionals who write timely articles, Op-Ed pieces and books should develop an “identity” and brand of their own. To do that they need a support system to help with the writing and publishing process and to leverage their work and deliver it “hot out of the oven” and available under their own flag (so to speak).

Writing and “authorship”(done well) by the way increases a professionals market value as a source for media outlets, magazines etc., as an Expert in their field if they are seeking consulting projects, and raises their visibility for board seats and other corporate opportunities.

Bottom Line:

We understand the special needs and requirements for such undertakings, and have specifically structured our methods to respect the particular sensitivities and required confidences of Flag & General Officer rank.

Retired Flag & General Officers who have an interest in writing and publishing books & articles (for whatever purpose important to them) deserve access to this level of support. As they have served this country with dedication & professionalism, we are here to serve them in the same manner and focus.  We welcome and appreciate the opportunity to talk with any that have interest in how we can help them.
